Recruitment Solutions (Folkestone) Ltd has been appointed by a key client to assist with the recruitment of an Engineering Manager position, in the area.
The role is with a global manufacturing company (non-food) and offers an extremely attractive package, for the right person.
The key qualities and experience our client is looking for in an individual, is ideally a medical device or pharmaceutical background with strong managerial/people skills, together with the depth of experience to drive change within the department combined with some hands on engineering experience to bring to the table.
Additional Experiences we are seeking:
In order to meet the demands of the Engineering Manager role, we are ideally looking for 4 years + experience, in a similar role.
An Engineering competency in a relevant discipline at a level sufficient to develop, motivate and lead a team of Multi-Skilled Engineers.
Proven leadership experience of an Engineering team or management in a high volume, team orientated manufacturing environment.
The Engineering Manager will display competencies such as: Leadership, Planning & Organisation, Communication, Problem Solving, Motivating Others, Team Orientation, Innovation & Quality/Continuous Improvement, Change Orientation, Results Delivery.
Problem solving techniques such as LEAN, TPM or Continuous Improvement methodology.
The Engineering Manager has direct management and accountability for the Engineering Team (approx. 10) whilst focusing on Continuous Improvement.
You will organise, control and develop the Engineering Team to provide planned, preventative and response maintenance activities, for all operational equipment.
The Engineering Manager will have a clear understanding of modern manufacturing techniques and their application in relation to cost, people, quality and safety and work effectively with all team members in sustaining delivery performance and continually improving performance overall.
The Engineering Manager position operates within a clean environment.
The role also operates in workshop and plant areas.
The core hours are 8.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
Occasional weekend work or out of hours work may be required to support the Essential Functions of this role.
