UK Stock Control Team Leader - Hybrid Working

A new instruction with an established manufacturing client for a UK Stock Control Team Leader, that reports into the European 3PL Operations Manager.

 

This excellent opportunity with a global manufacturing organisation specialising in fast moving consumer goods has become available due to an internal promotion and offers an exceptional package including hybrid working!

 

We are searching for an individual who is already an experienced Stock Controller with good levels of experience of using SAP warehouse and stock management systems and ideally with previous management or supervisory experience, as this position does have one direct report.

An attractive basic salary is available, depending on experience

24 days holiday (can buy/sell 2 days per year) plus 8 bank holidays

Position is based in Folkestone with attractive hybrid working available, so 50% on site and 50% working from home.

Rotating shifts every fortnight – but this is a days position

Weeks 1 & 2 – Mon to Thur 8am to 4pm.  Fri 8am to 3pm

Weeks 3 & 4 – Mon to Thur 9am to 5pm. Fri 9am to 4pm

2 x 20 minute breaks per day.

Some flexibility needed to meet business needs

Ad hoc business travel as required

 

Essential Skills we are seeking:

Operational experience from a Warehouse & Distribution background

Experience of liaising with internal and external customers to drive performance

Driving change within a Stock Control position to improve efficiencies

 

Knowledge & Skills, we are seeking:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to forge strong working relationships across functions

Ability to negotiate and influence others

Ability to work closely with 3rd party suppliers and ensure best value

Sound and reliable judgment with versatility and adaptability

Self-motivated with the ability to plan ahead and use initiative

Confident user of SAP Warehouse and stock management systems.

Ability to use spreadsheets, database and presentation packages e.g. Microsoft Office to present Stock reports

Working knowledge of Health & Safety and H.R. policies and procedures – COSHH, PPE, RSI, Incident reporting

Must have driving licence and be able to move between local sites and visit 3rd Parties
