Job Description

Recruiting on behalf of an independent school’s group to a Business Development Manager post within the Central Services Team – this is a full-time interim post that could lead to a permanent role for the right candidate.

 

You will work to increase commercial awareness and to promote pupil outcomes and successes to the local authority, parents and stakeholders. Working with the Commercial Director you will work to create and establish partnering strategies and improve key relationships with the local authority.

 

You will focus on establishing a clear set of USP’s for the provision on offer with the school’s group and market this effectively, build and implement a Business Development plan incorporating Marketing and PR strategies and utilise market research. You will provide intelligence and competitor analysis as part of the business development plan and provide ongoing reporting when required.

 

You will be required to line manage the business development team, report to the senior management team and commercial board in relation to figures and review and monitor monthly KPI’s. Other duties include project planning, co-ordination for new business developments and to review and advise on all contracts and contract negotiations.

 

The Package

This is a full-time interim contract to start ASAP that could lead to a permanent role for the right candidate – paying 45-50k dependent on experience.

 

Job Requirements

It is essential you hold experience of sales gained within the education sector – ideally within a specialist education setting. Experience of line managing staff is essential combined with experience of planning and project managing changing initiatives.
