We are actively searching for a Laboratory Assistant/Technician, on behalf of a global manufacturing organisation in the area to provide some key support during a particularly busy period.

It is important to clarify that there is flexibility both on the qualifications required for this role and your level of experience, so a degree in Chemistry would be considered ideal or a relevant Scientific qualification perhaps with less experience, is equally acceptable, but knowledge of GMP (Good Manufactiring Practices) is also preferred.

Whilst the role is being presented on a medium term temporary basis, there is a possibility the role could develop and is a superb opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a laboratory setting. Ideally, the client is looking for an individual who already has had some lab experience, who could potentially hit the ground running.

You will be working in a friendly, professional Lab team and your tasks will be dependent on your experience, but could include:-

Recording Lab results efficiently.

Ensuring lab equipment is correctly calibrated and in good working order.

Assisting the Lab/Chemistry Manager in the validation of new and existing testing methods.

Assisting the Lab/Chemistry Manager in the investigation of out of specification samples/batches.

You could also be analysing finished products and raw materials in a manufacturing setting to company standards and in line with statutory, regulatory and customer requirements, whilst working to Good Control Laboratory Practice (GCLP) at all times.
