Part Time Credit Controller

A new instruction for a Part Time Credit Controller with a company located in the Romney Marsh area, which is being presented on a hybrid working basis with total flexibility on your start and finish times, to suit!

 

The company:

You will be working for a lovely, well established company and leading fostering agency  specialising in the care of children with additional needs.

 

Hours and Rate of Pay Etc:

20 hours per week

Hybrid working arrangements, so 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home

5 days per week, Monday to Friday.

Totally flexible start and finish times to suit!

Could be ideal for someone who needs to do the school run in the mornings for example!

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

£23,500.00 per annum full time equivalent, or. £12,530.00 which equates to £12.05 per hour

 

The Team:

The role reports to the Finance Manager and there is a Finance Assistant.

 

The Role:

The main purpose of the role is to assist the Finance Manager with the day to day operation of the company’s Invoice Discount Facility to ensure the company cash flow is protected.

Monitoring incoming payments and post to the company accounting software (Sage).

Provide monthly reconciliations between ledgers and company Invoice Discounting Facility

Undertaking credit control duties, ie. chasing Local Authority purchase order numbers etc

Assist with invoicing to Local Authority

Monitor additional charges to be made to Local Authorities  and third parties

Monitor receipt of new purchase orders annually

Attach with attaching historical purchase ledger invoices onto accounting software on an ad-hoc basis

Attach sales ledger invoices to accounting software on a monthly basis

Assist with year-end procedures as required

Providing ad-hoc administrative related support within the Finance Team

 

Requirements

We are looking for an individual with comprehensive and recent experience of accounts and administration duties

The ability to meet deadlines

Strong analytical and organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy

Any local authority finance experience would be considered helpful but not essential

Driving licence

Good standard of education
