A new instruction for a Project Buyer with a successful manufacturing client in the area.
Package:
Attractive salary depending on experience

The Position:
As a member of the Purchasing Team the Project Buyer will be required to source negotiate and contract for specified spend categories on behalf of user departments and to develop effective business partnerships with suppliers and internal customers.
The Must Haves:
We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of end to end supply chain which should be evident in your work history.
Experience of working within a multi-national business and cross functional teamwork.
Significant Purchasing experience with a track record of delivering cost improvements.
A good technical understanding of purchasing within Pharma, Food Supplement, Cosmetic and/or Medical Devices
Experience of third party vendor management.
Areas of Responsibility:
Support and manage the commercial relationship between the New Product Introduction project team and external suppliers on specific projects so that customer needs are met, whilst maintaining effective business relationships with suppliers and customers.
Supply Gap Analysis
Supplier Negotiations & Regular meetings with suppliers on and off site – 10% travelling
Manage CMs relationship and KPIs for portfolio in charge
Manage European Rejects & Complaints issues for the portfolio in charge
Provide excellent customer service to internal customers
Cover for the Global Manufacturing Services Purchasing Manager as required
Skills and Attributes:
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
Proven ability to deliver cost reductions
A skilled negotiator covering cost, relationships and contracts
Exposure to commodity management and project sourcing
Good project management skills, able to work on multiple complex projects
Focus on continuous improvement and digitally savvy
Empathetic with a customer service orientation
The role will require the ability to travel 10-15% approx. (UK and some Europe)
Education and Experience:
CIPS Qualified desirable or other Professional Qualification
Ideally qualified at Degree level
Must have excellent English both written and oral, other languages particularly French would be an advantage
Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Proficient user of SAP
