Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in a varied transport management role.
- Transport Manager CPC.
- Proven ability to manage a dynamic team, including office staff and drivers.
- Track record of operational improvements.
- Proficient in Microsoft packages and IT.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the smooth running of the Transport function and related activities.
- Manage deliveries and collections, meeting weekly targets of 500-600 drops during busy periods.
- Oversee a team of 4 in the office and a full-time staff of customer-facing drivers.
- Maintain compliance with legal obligations and voluntary schemes, such as FORS.
- Develop and manage the FORS scheme, including policies and risk assessments.
Key Tasks:
- Continuous personal development to meet external obligations.
- Develop and manage drivers to ensure safety and professionalism.
- Ensure the roadworthiness of the delivery fleet and other company vehicles.
- Collaborate with other managers to meet business needs.
- Uphold company ISO 9001 procedures and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Full driving license and own vehicle.
- Office-based role at head office in a rural location
