The Role:
The UK Customer Fulfilment Team Leader has management responsibility for 2 Customer Fulfilment Co-ordinators and reports to the UK Customer Fulfilment Manager
The UK Customer Fulfilment Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the UK Customer Fulfilment Team provides excellent customer service to support this significant “bricks and mortar” retailer channel, acting as the key liaison point between customers and the client logistics providers and their internal teams.
Responsibilities:
People Management:
The UK Customer Fulfilment Team Leader manages the day to day tasks of 2 direct reports and ensures they are on track
You will run team meetings
Allocation of workload across the team to meet business needs
Take responsibility for training and development of the team, identifying any gaps and organising any relevant training
Motivate the team to carry out daily tasks within required deadlines
Encourage the team to explore new possibilities to resolve outstanding queries and reduce the list of non-compliance
Build positive relationships with internal stakeholders (ie. Sales, Logistics, Returns, Marketing and Finance) to help improve the overall customer experience.
Conduct appraisals and be involved in the recruitment process as needed
Proactively identify efficiency improvements/removal of touchpoints/order consolidation possibilities
Customer Service – Order Management:
Oversee and control the day to day operational function of the UK Customer Fulfilment team
ensuring all customer services levels are achieved
Daily order entry onto SAP, ensuring validity of orders by checking delivery addresses,
products process and stocks and confirming back on customer portal wherever required
Controlling the release of orders to 3rd party Distribution company to ensure delivery dates are met
Ensure effective communication on any specific requirements including short lead times and stock issues with 3rd party distribution partners to ensure orders picked in timely and efficient fashion
Control of customer invoice queries
Control of query investigation: challenging non-compliance issues, managed on customer portal
Maintain effective communication with Account Managers regarding specific accounts
Support colleagues on the Customer Service team
About You:
A positive proactive approach, with the ability to communicate effectively across the business and motivate colleagues
The ability to be self motivated and manage workload efficiently
Previous experience of leading a team or project desirable
Previous experience within a manufacturing environment desirable
Good knowledge of MS Office programs especially, Outlook, Word and Excel
Knowledge on SAP helpful but this can be taught
Knowledge of data entry into a mainframe computerised business system, SAP experience ideal within Sales, Material Management modules would be considered an advantage
Very occasional travel may be requied
